RANDOM RIFF: no control

People have a huge desire for wanting to define and categorize things. They love get a grasp on life.

Think about it: the primary stress inducer in most individuals lives is a lack of control or knowledge of how something is going to go.

College grads freak out when they don’t know their specific career path.

Teenagers lose it over an exam in a class they’re not well versed in.

Parents grow anxious over the future of their wayward children.

With this being the case, it puts us in a tough spot. Because we happen to live in a world where we are not sovereign or in control - we just serve the One who is.

So, take a deep breath and say it out loud with me: “I’m not in control.” Get used to not knowing - it’s how this life is designed.

You can either acknowledge you don’t know how it will all turn out or be wrong. Up to you.

Submit your will to God. He’s got a better plan anyways.
